Louise Tieman - President & CEOPresident & CEO

Louise Tieman

Louise is a regionally known and experienced executive who has proven expertise in providing management, both financial and operational, to companies experiencing rapid growth and those going through business restructuring and bankruptcy protection. Although a native of Los Angeles, the Pacific Northwest is special to her and she can usually be found dragon boat racing a few days a week. While a student at the University of Puget Sound, Louise went on a UPS Pacific Rim trip that made her fall in love with the wonderful countries she visited. This trip took her to South Korea, China, Japan, Burma, Thailand, Sri Lanka, India, and Nepal. Prior to her installation as President and CEO, Louise had been an active WTC Tacoma Board Member for over two years, where she has spent time on the Executive Committee and as its Treasurer.

Mike Fowler - China Trade & Investment ProgramChina Trade & Investment Program

Mike Fowler

Mike Fowler directs the World Trade Center Tacoma’s China Trade and Investment Program. Mike has extensive experience working as a trade consultant for U.S. business activities with Japanese and Chinese firms. He is fluent in Chinese and Japanese and served as Chair of the Pacific Northwest International Trade Alliance. He is a former senior editor of Business Tokyo magazine and holds a master’s degree in international relations with China and Japan business/economics emphasis from Sophia University in Tokyo and a bachelor’s degree in Chinese from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Fanghui Li

Fanghui joined the World Trade Center Tacoma in 2013. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a minor in Business from the Pacific Lutheran University. During her time with the WTCTA, she has contributed to projects in a range of industries for members, partners, and the international WTCA community. She has consulted businesses in overseas market entry and product/consumer insights through designing and conducting in-depth market and trade research and on-the-ground consultation with the clients. She plans outbound activities and develops new partnership to grow business and increase visibility of the organization’s key certified trade services and its regional connectedness in the Greater China. Additionally, she is also extensively engaged in flagship events and trade mission planning and execution.

Teri Pfeffer - Office ManagerOffice Manager

Teri Pfeffer

Over the course of a multifaceted career, Teri has worked in both the government and private sectors. Her travels as a military spouse have seen her adjust to each new economical landscape and become an important and valued member of her current organization. Teri has honed her skills in executive administration, customer service, bookkeeping, and human resources. As the Operations Manager for the World Trade Center Tacoma, Teri oversees the administrative and technical programs, as well as, the Intern Program. She is currently learning website design, analytics, and SalesForce CRM administration.
